Amigo do Ritmo -  Portuguese band
The Portuguese band “Amigos do Ritmo” (Friends of the Rhythm) started in 1986, by the twins Pedro and Elsa Dos Santos The band is currently performing as a trio with Elsa on keyboards and female vocals, Pedro is the drummer and male vocalist and Sergio on bass guitar. Their performances are a mix of very vibe Latino, Portuguese and popular contemporary music, sure to get any party going with golden oldies and current favorites.

The Jazz Assassins -  Jazz Band
The Jazz Assassins is comprised of a core of professional jazz and session musicians who decided to combine their wealth of experience gained working under various bandleaders into one solid outfit, dedicated to providing a top-quality live musical service to the function industry.  The band primarily plays a mixture of swing era jazz, latin and smooth jazz, and prides itself on adjusting its sound to the complement the atmosphere of any event, taking your guests through cocktails and dinner with atmospheric, laid-back jazz and eventually leading them out onto the dancefloor with latin and smooth jazz rhythms as the evening progresses.  The Jazz Assassins is perfectly tailored to add an air of sophistication and glamour to your function.

Frontline -  Party Band
For entertainment that will ensure your event is unforgettable, look no further than “Frontline”. This great band guarantees to get the party started, and keep it rocking into the small hours.
With a vast repertoire, from the 50s right through to the latest hits, Frontline can entice any crowd onto the dance floor.
Frontline has played at many of South Africa’s top venues, including the Sandton Convention Centre, Gallagher Estate, Monte Casino, Champagne Sports Resort, Sun City and Fancourt, and receives regular bookings from as far afield as Mauritius, Seyshelles, Dubai, Swaziland and Botswana.

Cest ‘la Vie -  Two Piece Band
Jazz, Ballads, R&B, Rock and Modern Contemporary Dance/Pop.  The target and principle focus is the sophisticated adult contemporary market.  Over the past two years the duo has performed at numerous corporate functions, major product launches, live shows, up-market clubs and restaurants.  Venues include the likes of The Palace Hotel at Sun City, The Sun City Hotel and Casino, The Sun City Convention Centre, The Palazzo Hotel & Monte Casino, Carnival City Casino and Caesar’s Palace, to name but a few.
The duo has a repertoire of a sophisticated blend of music ranging from the sixties through smooth Fusion

Evolver -  Band
Enjoy. Express. Evolve. Simply put, Evolver is about moving forward, expressing a musical journey through pure ROCK n ROLL. The sound is described as a wonderful fusion of 70s sex rock and the cool contemporary sounds of modern Rock. Intertwining a modern edge with raw appeal gives birth to a sound that is unique to the band  Evolver. Evolver’s debut album ‘GET UP’ features the band’s breakout single, ‘LETS GET NAKED’ which was showcased in SL magazine, and released by 5FM on the ‘High Five at Five’ where it reached No. 5. It also hit No. 16 on the Coco Cola Top 40. ‘CLOSER TO YOU’, was then released in early 2005 on various stations, doing well on Algoa FM. The next single, ‘KEEP ON MOVING’, proved to be very popular, shooting to the top, hitting No. 1 on 5FMs High Five at Five.

Fantacy -  Band

This duo made their T.V series début as the studio band for entertainer Paul Viv on a TV show called “Late nite with Paul Viv”. The show lasted for 26 weeks.
As a four piece band, they performed at The Devonshire Hotel in Braamfontein. For two years they were the resident band at The Karos Hotel in Johannesburg. They also performed numerous gigs at Mmabatho International Sun, Sun City, Mdantsane Sun and Marula Sun Hotels. They did many shots for T.V 2 musical programs and ventured into a recording contract with E.M.I studios which yielded varied success.

Playing with Fire -  Poi Fire Dancers

They are mesmerizing to watch .On a cool winter’s evening. Dyllan Mithell and Darion Grobler wind the burning fire poi around their bodies, etching patterns in the air, creating a spectacular light.
Their show is professionally choreographed, highly stylized, and, as the two are hired to perform at many corporate events, tailored to what the client is after.
They have worked internationally at the Lido in Paris, the Lisboa in Hong Kong and various venues in Dubai. Some of our local clients include BMW, Toyota, Iscor, MTN, 46664 concert, V&A waterfront and many more.

Promenade Ensemble -  String Quartet

Founded in 1984 by members of the former NSO of SABC, we are a group of professional musicians bound by the same concept that music is an integral part of life as old as mankind.
Over the years, we have accumulated a vast repertoire of light classics and contemporary pop, the latest commissioned to Peter McLea, one of South Africa’s most talented arrangers/composers.
The group has performed at public concerts for Classic FM, Walter Sizulu & Pretoria Botanical Gardens, Alice Art Gallery and at numerous private and corporate functions.
At present members of the Promenade Ensemble are in the high ranks of the JPO, COSA & JFO.
Mainly a string quartet, we can perform as a solo violin, duo, quintet or chamber orchestra.

Stevie C -  One-Man Band

Stevie is a free-lance musician working with various South African artists performing live shows, recordings and has also assisted young upcoming talent imparting some of his knowledge in getting them off the ground.
Stevie’s current repertoire consists of a broad range of musical genre’s and is comfortable performing for a wide variety of audiences. 

Tradewinds -  Jazz and Dance Band
Tradewinds specializes in Corporate Functions/Events, Weddings, Barmitzvahs, etc. Their repertoire includes Jazz, Blues, R&B, Continental, Rock & Roll, Party Music and German and Jewish Traditional music performed instrumentally and vocally.  Some of the band's performances include the German Beer Festival for the German Consulate at The Polana Hotel in Mozambique, Year-End Functions for Fedsure Health (Sun City Superbowl), Discovery Health, etc., as well as Cocktail Functions for companies like BOE Bank and performances at the Annual Scottish Ball.  
The band is flexible to suit your particular budget and consists of either 4, 3 or 2 members or Jo can do a solo gig.

Tuxedo -  Band
Tuxedo was formed 22 years ago with the plan to offer the Wedding and Corporate a band far from what is generally offered within the South African music industry . Three of the six members are highly successful business men who take the role of a musician off and on the stage very seriously. We offer our clients excellent event advice and assist with the planning of events , a vast high energy music range , excellent personal presentation and state of the art sound and lighting equipment. We also offer Master of Ceremony and Auction Services to prospective clients at an additional fee.

Michael Canfield -  Band
Michael Canfield is an award winning drummer, producer, vocalist, composer, arranger and music industry entrepreneur.  He was drawn to the drums at age 2 ½, played his first professional engagement at age 6 and has been performing ever since
Canfield’s most recent project is the launch of his new band “Rhythm Section Africa”. The group features original music inspired by Canfield’s experiences in Africa alongside pieces that are a part of his long professional career and interesting interpretations of the music of others. The band has recently released their first DVD ‘pre-vyu” a full length representation of the exciting live show and are currently in production on their first CD ‘Authenticity’ scheduled for release in 2007. A tour is planned to support the album.

Bala Brothers -  Band
The Bala Brothers have already performed at a significant amount of high-profile events, including a debut appearance on SABC2’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, Rand Merchant Bank’s annual Starlight Classics event, and Miss South Africa 2006. Now, their highly anticipated debut album entitled B3 has been released, The stunning album features a unique mix of songs, ranging from popular ‘Popera’ standards such as ‘Circle Of Life’, ‘Beauty And The Beast’ (which features the glorious voice of special guest Judith Sephuma), ‘You Raise Me Up’, and Queen’s ‘Somebody To Love’, through to operatic numbers such as ‘Nella Fantasia’, ‘Caro Mio Ben’ and ‘All I Ask Of You’, the latter featuring the soaring vocals of internationally acclaimed soprano Angela Kerrison.

Dixie Swingers -  Acoustic Jazz Band

They are an acoustic band of seasoned,  sober, non-smoking,  punctual and smart professional musicians,  five in all,  who play acoustic music from the 1920’s,  ‘30’s,  40’s & 50’s.  Dixieland and swing tunes most which you’ll probably know as we administer the ideal stress relief for the client,  guests and,  equally importantly,  you,  the organizer.

We set up in less than 60 seconds and disappear at the end in the same time.  No wires,  boxes,  electrical equipment,  music stands,  sheet music……………….just us.

We arrive ten minutes before we start,  take up the position you require and play. If you want us to move,  no problem.  We just walk there and start immediately.  It really is that easy.  Just a telephone call and you can relax.  That’s all.
In fact we act as an ideal ‘cover’ or distraction for your guests whilst you set up the main entertainment and any other event Space, accessibility,  staging,  power points,  lights,  and possible disruption or interference to the client are all  worries that you could do without.   What if you need to move the band somewhere more convenient,  or at the clients request?   Even if you only have a sound system,  it’s got to be unplugged,  moved near to another power point and,  providing its covered against water,  set up again which might take twenty minutes or more.

DNA Strings

DNA Strings are one of South Africa's best-known instrumental bands, playing an average of 16 shows per month all over the country. They have won awards for Best Live Performance, Best Duo/Group, Best Contemporary Band and Best Contemporary Album and have received numerous nominations including Best Instrumental Band. The music, of which the essence is captured in their live shows, can be described as pulsating, energetic, uplifting, passionate and powerful. They have become known for a dynamic, interactive, vibeing show that has the crowd clapping, dancing and cheering, always leaving them wanting more. Their live show is a showcase of their fusion of styles which include: African, Irish, South American, Traditional Folk and even some North African Arabic sounds. Flamenco Guitar, Violin, Drums, Bass Guitar and a multitude of percussion from all over the world dish up their ethnic sounds. Their sounds have taken them to other parts of Africa, the Edinburgh Fringe festival in Scotland the Seychelles and even a show in the Royal Albert Hall. 

Hanepoot & the Biggish 18-piece Band 
Hanepoot & the Biggish Band plays only South African music - its own 18-piece arrangements of South African jazz standards and original compositions written for the band. The music covers classic swing, as well as indigenous marabi and goema. The band has a standard big band line-up of 5 saxes, 4 trumpets, 4 trombones and a 4-piece rhythm section.

The band is led by Jannie 'Hanepoot' van Tonder. Jannie cut his teeth playing original music as a member of successful groups such as the African Jazz Pioneers, the Gereformeerde Blues Band, and the Blues Broers. He has also worked with many South African music stalwarts, including Vusi Mahlasela, Basil Coetzee, Sean Bergin, Nico Carstens, James Phillips, Abdullah Ibrahim and Jimmy Dludlu. Jannie teaches trombone and trumpet at the Jazz Workshop in Cape Town.

Magan Star / Rip Tide -  Band

Rip Tide is a live five piece party band specializing in corporate functions and events that require the vibe and feel of a true live band.
The vivacious female vocalist and front man / vocalist provide the energy and audience participation, that are key elements to all successful functions.
